Endowment Opportunities

There is a great need for scholarships at EKU. Most EKU students need and receive some type of financial aid.

This in an opportune time to invest in Eastern Kentucky University’s future. Your contribution will have a tremendous impact on our students. Contributions to Eastern Kentucky University will support our vision of being the leading comprehensive university in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, earning national distinction in an environment where students and learning come first.

The College of Justice & Safety is proud to announce the development of an endowed scholarship to help students interested in the fields of justice and safety achieve their educational dreams.

Charles Reedy Scholarship

The Charles Reedy Scholarship is named for the first chair of the Department of Corrections (now Correctional and Juvenile Justice Studies). Dr. Reedy created an atmosphere that supported the learning styles of traditional and nontraditional students alike. This scholarship recognizes the contributions that Dr. Reedy made to the development of today’s leaders in corrections and juvenile justice. Eligibility for this scholarship is limited to members of the immediate families of these practitioners or to individuals currently employed full-time in a corrections or juvenile justice agency. Initially focused at the undergraduate level, our goal is to generate adequate resources to support individuals pursuing graduate degrees as well.
