New Scholarship Established
The Norman M. Spain Excellence in Ethical Leadership Scholarship has been created to reward Safety, Security and Emergency Management majors who demonstrate principles of integrity and ethical leadership in their personal and business lives.
The scholarship was established by a generous gift from Dr. Spain’s wife, Judy, and their two sons – Benjamin and Nathaniel in recognition of his devotion to academic excellence, the integration of ethics into curriculum and his everyday life.
The scholarship was announced at Dr. Spain’s retirement reception at the College of Justice and Safety on December 1, 2014.
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must be a full-time student in the College of Justice & Safety with a major in Safety, Security and Emergency Management. Students must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
