Billie Clark is taking advantage of multiple programs offered in the College of Justice & Safety by majoring in both Emergency Medical Care & Police Studies! After college, she plans to work in law enforcement. She has been an EMT for almost a year now and is currently interning with Estill County Emergency Medical Service. Eventually, she hopes to work on a Special Response or Tactical Team and is earning her paramedic degree to help further her career in the tactical field.
“Interning with Estill County EMS has been a fantastic experience. I have learned what it is like to work with other agencies and how important it is for all first responding agencies to be on the same page. I was able to triage a multi-casualty incident with my paramedic partner and it was such a knowledgeable experience. It was a scenario where I needed to use my skills quickly to save as many people as possible. We ended up saving all four victims that were alive on scene. I am incredibly thankful for this opportunity and Estill County EMS.”
